The Jordan Golf Federation signed a partnership agreement with Jibrin Group on Friday to organize the third edition of the “Aish Golf” tournament, which is scheduled to be held in the first quarter of 2026 at Ayla Oasis International Course in Aqaba. The signing of the agreement was attended by the Commissioner of Tourism and Youth at the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority, Thabet Al-Nabulsi, and the Executive Director of Jibrin Group, Mohammed Khreis, along with a number of official guests and the media.

The agreement aims to provide an integrated institutional model that combines technical, administrative, marketing and media aspects to organize a tournament that meets the highest international standards, as well as the organization of parallel public, academic and community events, which contribute to spreading the sport of golf and enhancing its presence in Jordan. The two parties affirmed their commitment to empowering women at the level of competitive and organizational participation, through work teams and technical committees, while identifying clear indicators to measure qualitative impact, in line with the Federation’s strategy to promote inclusivity and parity in sports.

Nasser Al-Shomali, Vice President of the Jordan Golf Federation, said: “Playing golf was not just a tournament but an idea, which we started with a firm belief that it will be a milestone in the federation’s journey, and today we are launching it to a new stage with a distinguished national partnership.” Al-Shomali pointed out that previous editions of the tournament have achieved great success without imposing any financial burdens on the federation’s budget, adding that “the idea was based on the desire to introduce the Jordanian community to golf.”

He explained that “Aish Golf” will contribute to the qualification of the first Jordanian and Arab female golf coaches, and help send coaches to obtain international certificates, in addition to supporting the “Golf Schools” program, which has so far trained more than 7,000 students.

Al-Shomali appreciated the role of the supporting parties, led by Ayla Oasis Development Company, the Arab Golf Federation, the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority, and the Jibrin Group, which confirms that we are facing a true national partner that believes in our mission and stands by us. For his part, Khreis stressed that the partnership with the Jordan Golf Federation represents a qualitative step in supporting the sports and tourism sector, pointing out that the “Live Golf” experience represents a real opportunity to showcase Jordan’s honorable image at the Arab and international levels.

The two parties also stressed the importance of cooperation with the official authorities in Aqaba, especially the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority and the Tourism Promotion Authority, to maximize the economic and tourism impact of the tournament and strengthen the partnership between the public and private sectors in supporting national sports.

The tournament is set to host Ayla Stadium in Aqaba, which is one of the most prominent golf courses designed according to international standards, as it combines modern infrastructure with integration with the natural marine environment, making it a preferred destination to host international tournaments.
