The national golf team will enter an intensive preparatory camp at the Ayla Club course in Aqaba, during the period from 16 to 21 of this month, with the participation of a group of players of the national team, in preparation for the most prominent sporting event on the Jordanian golf calendar – the 34th edition of the Jordan Open Golf Championship – which will be held between 4-6 September. The camp aims to select members of the national team of both genders to participate in the Jordan Open Golf Championship as part of the Federation’s efforts to develop the sport of golf and enhance its presence locally and regionally.

The training camp is part of the Jordan Golf Federation’s program to promote and develop the sport of golf, in addition to contributing to the efforts to promote activities in the Aqaba Special Economic Zone.
“This camp is a strategic step towards building a competitive team capable of achieving honorable results in the next tournament, and consolidating Jordan’s position on the regional and international golf map, in addition to being a decisive station in the technical and mental preparation for the most important tournament at the level of the Kingdom,” said Amer Radi, the head coach of the Iraqi national golf team, stressing that “we are working on evaluating performance, enhancing readiness, and selecting elements capable of representing Jordan in the best possible way,” praising the efforts of the Ayla Golf Club team.

For his part, the Public Relations Manager at Ayla Oasis Development Company, Mansour Al-Kabariti, said, “We at Ayla Oasis consider supporting the national sport as part of our community mission, and our courses and facilities are fully available to provide an ideal training environment for male and female players.” golf and Ayla’s belief in the need to provide all means of support for efforts aimed at spreading the sport among new generations of promising people and preparing the capabilities of the national team for foreign participation.”

The participants in the camp are: Mohammed Al-Rawashdeh, Salem Al-Abdullat, Adam Al-Muzayida, Abdulrahman Al-Zaher, Murad Al-Rawashdeh, Anas Al-Omarien, Nour Mubaydeen, Samaan Akroush, Taj Akroush, Lilian Mujahid, Mayar Al-Shomali, Zeina Qadan, Nour Jaber, Lamar Al-Shomali, Layan Jaber, Joel Tashman, and Natalie Tashman.
On the other hand, in light of these preparations for the 34th edition of the Jordan Open Golf Championship, the vital role of the technical team at Ayla Oasis, which consists of a group of young men and women working around the clock to maintain the quality of the course and its suitability to play according to the highest international standards, starting with periodic maintenance, which is an essential element to ensure safety and optimal performance, and is directly reflected on the quality of the competitions.

The technical team performs multiple tasks including mowing, irrigating, fertilizing and treating the grass, maintaining pits and bunkers, cleaning water bodies and managing water levels, maintaining facilities and pathways, ensuring the readiness of equipment, spraying pesticides to maintain the health of green spaces, cleaning the course on a daily basis, in addition to developing and improving the terrain of the course in line with international golf regulations, to ensure a safe and ideal playing environment.

This integration between the technical preparation of the team, the logistical support from the Federation, and the daily efforts of the Ayla Club team reflects an integrated picture of the sport of golf in Jordan, and confirms that the upcoming tournament will be a celebration of professionalism, teamwork, and national ambition.
